Horizon House
I thought this was the house where my father
lived in Hawera until 1929, before the family moved to Australia.
It is now known as Horizon House, and was,
at the time this photo was taken, a hospitality
training centre for disadvantaged youth.
I'm sure my father said the house
was a two story house, but my cousin assures me it was the single story
house next door. He's probably right, his father was older than my father and
would have had better memories of Hawera before the family moved.
